Introduction
Forge is a local-first workout tracker. This Privacy Policy describes how the App handles your data. Forge stores your data on your device. The default build has no account, no cloud sync, and no analytics or crash-reporting services enabled. Forge does not sell or share your personal data.
Data Stored on Your Device
Forge keeps your workouts, exercises, body measurements, and settings in a local database (SQLite) on your device. This data stays on the device unless you explicitly export or back it up yourself. Uninstalling the App removes this data.
Health Data
If you grant permission, Forge can read and write health data through Google Health Connect (Android) or Apple HealthKit (iOS) — for example heart rate during a workout, and completed workouts or body measurements. This data is used only inside the App on your device to power workout tracking and charts. Forge does not upload the contents of Health Connect or HealthKit to any server. You can revoke this permission at any time in your system settings.
Data We Collect
The default build of Forge collects no personal data and sends no data off your device. There is no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party analytics in the default configuration.
Optional Sync (Not Enabled by Default)
Forge can be built to connect to an optional sync provider. That is not part of the default build. If you use a build that enables sync, the operator of that sync server is responsible for the handling of any data you choose to sync.
Children's Privacy
Forge is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
