Introduction
OfflineMind is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data the OfflineMind mobile application (the "App") collects, how it is used, and your choices.
Local, On-Device AI
OfflineMind lets you download and run AI language models directly on your device. Your conversations, prompts, and model responses are processed entirely on-device and are never sent to our servers. Chat history, downloaded models, and app settings are stored locally on your device and remain under your control. If you uninstall the App or clear its data, this locally stored data is removed.
Anonymous Feedback ID
The App generates a random, anonymous identifier stored on your device to prevent abuse when you submit in-app feedback. This identifier is not linked to your name, email, or any other personal information, and is not derived from any device-specific identifier.
Benchmark Leaderboard (Optional)
The App includes an optional on-device benchmarking tool. If you choose to submit your results to the public leaderboard, benchmark scores and general device information (such as device model and chipset) are shared with the leaderboard, hosted on Hugging Face. This submission only happens if you explicitly opt in; it is never automatic.
PalsHub Marketplace & Purchases
OfflineMind integrates with PalsHub, a marketplace for AI "Pals" (persona presets) and related in-app purchases. If you choose to sign in or make a purchase:
- Authentication is handled through a secure, native browser session (ASWebAuthenticationSession on iOS, Chrome Custom Tabs on Android). We do not have access to your login credentials.
- Payments are processed by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. OfflineMind does not collect or store your payment card details.
- Purchase and ownership records (e.g. which Pals you own) are associated with your PalsHub account to enable access across sessions.
You are not required to create an account or make a purchase to use the App's core AI chat functionality.
Data We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect your name, email address, or phone number unless you provide it to sign in to PalsHub.
- We do not track your behavior within the App for advertising purposes.
- We do not sell your data to third parties.
Third-Party Services
The App relies on the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:
- Hugging Face — for downloading AI models and, optionally, submitting benchmark results.
- Stripe — for processing in-app purchases.
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
